LOCATION
The Interstate 11 connects Venice (antique capital of the Serenissima) to Padua (historical university town) following the Brenta River.
Mira, situated in the heart of the Brenta River, at equal distance from Padua and Venice, is the ideal departing base for numerous excursions that this rich territory offers and an ideal place to stay in a hotel like Relais Alcova del Doge.
The setting of the Relais Alcova del Doge gives you the possibility to reach Venice in differents ways:
- by bus (ACTV line Venezia-Padova), which get to Venice in 35 minutes with the last riding at midnight. The bus stop is 150 m from us.
- by train, which gets to Venice in 20 minutes. The train station Mira-Mirano is situated 3 km from us.
- by boat, from the Terminal Fusina, 9 km far away from us, so you can already taste the atmoshere of the venetian lagoon.
The villas along the Brenta River, which alone have weight a trip, are situated just few km from us.
You can visit the famous Venetian Villas by bike or you may go on one of the many organized river-boat tours; Verona, Venice, Treviso, the spectacular Delta Po, the amazing Dolomite mountains, the famous beaches of the Adriatic Riviera, the Thermal Baths of Abano area and the Prosecco wine Road are from 30 min. to 2 hours drive away.

BY PLANE
From Venice Airport “Marco Polo” (www.veniceairport.it)
If you rent a car at the airport follow the green indications A4 to Venezia, take the highway A4 and go out at the exit Dolo-Mirano. AT THE ROUND, TURN RIGHT ON THE SECOND EXIT, FOLLOWING INDICATIONS TO “RIVIERA DEL BRENTA”; ARRIVED AT THE SECOND ROUND TURN RIGHT ON THE THIRD EXIT, FOLLOWING THE BLUE INDICATIONS TO MIRA. At the end of the street (after about 4 km) turn left and in 50 m you’ll see the “Alcova del Doge” on your left.
If you travel using the pubblic means of transportation catch the “ATVO EXPRESS” bus to Mestre leaving every half an hour or the ACTV city bus n° 15 and get off at “Piazza XXVII Ottobre”. From here catch the ACTV bus n° 53E Venezia-Padova and get off at the bus stop “Capitello Albrizzi” in Mira. The “Alcova del Doge” is at 150 m. from the bus stop.

From Treviso Airport (www.trevisoairport.it)
If you use the pubblic means of transportation catch the “ATVO EXPRESS” bus to Mestre connect to your flight. Get off at “Piazza XXVII ottobre”. From here catch the ACTV bus n° 53E Venezia-Padova and get off at the bus stop “Capitello Albrizzi” in Mira. The “Alcova del Doge” is at 150 m. from the bus stop.

BY BUS
Use the ACTV vehicles that leave every 15/30 minutes from Venice (Piazzale Roma), from Mestre (Piazza XXVII Ottobre), from Padova (Piazzale Stazione) and get off at the Mira stop “Capitello Albrizzi” which is 150 meters from the Alcova del Doge.

From Milano, Roma, Bologna (A4, A13)
If you’re coming from Milano, Roma, Bologna (A4, A13) , highway A4 exit Dolo-Mirano. AT THE ROUND, TURN RIGHT ON THE SECOND EXIT, FOLLOWING INDICATIONS TO “RIVIERA DEL BRENTA”; ARRIVED AT THE SECOND ROUND TURN RIGHT ON THE THIRD EXIT, FOLLOWING THE BLUE INDICATIONS TO MIRA. At the end of the street (after about 4 km) turn left and in 50 m you’ll see the “Alcova del Doge” on your left.
From Tarvisio-Udine, Trieste, Belluno or Pordenone (A4, A23,A27,A28)
If you’re coming from Tarvisio-Udine, Trieste, Belluno or Pordenone (A4, A23,A27,A28) , highway A4 exit Venezia Est. Take the “tangenziale”(by-pass), following the green indications A4 to Venezia.Take the A4 and go out at Dolo-Mirano. AT THE ROUND, TURN RIGHT ON THE SECOND EXIT, FOLLOWING INDICATIONS TO “RIVIERA DEL BRENTA”; ARRIVED AT THE SECOND ROUND TURN RIGHT ON THE THIRD EXIT, FOLLOWING THE BLUE INDICATIONS TO MIRA. From the Venice airport “Marco Polo”

If you’re arriving from Ravenna , SS 309 “Romea”, follow the blue indications to SR11 to Padova. In 10 km you’ll reach the town of Mira. Get past the centre direction Dolo-Padova. The “Alcova del Doge” is at 300 m on the right.
